I did an early morning couple shoot in the howling wind with Nola and James, who were out in Cape Town from Henley in the UK. These guys were a pleasure to photograph - so comfortable with each other and clearly just have a lot of fun together.
Rafael and Sarah were on holiday in Cape Town, visiting from Angola. They are such a beautiful and soulful couple who seem so at peace with themselves and were so relaxed in front of the camera. It was so lovely to spend a bit of time with you guys between the forest and a very chilly and windy beach.
Marius and Romijn were on holiday in Cape Town for a few days and I met them early one morning at Llundudno beach for a photoshoot to celebrate their wedding anniversary.
It was a gorgeous and still morning with many beautiful light, reflections and moments between two people who clearly just adore each other.
I think only two awesome Canadians would be crazy enough to listen to a suggestion of getting into CAPE TOWN water on a chilly 'summer' evening. Steve and Serena, you guys are fabulous, hope you have been having a great holiday around Africa.
Beautiful soft evening light, very chilled out couple, the best weather we've had in a while in not-so-summery- Cape Town = amazing shoot! Some sports-savvy people might recognise JP - being a bit clueless on the sporting front, I was slightly embarrassed that I had no idea that JP plays cricket for South Africa.
It's always quite daunting when other photographers ask me to do a shoot for them, especially when they are pretty damn amazing. I did a shoot with Wesley Vorster and his husband Miles when I was up in Jozi a few weeks back. Although they've been married for 6 years already, they decided it was about time for some couple shots as well as a few family portraits with their four-legged kids. Apparently they're not into PDAs (public displays of affection) but I think they did a pretty good job of showing some love in Joburg city centre.
