I first met Cameron when he was a tiny a 2-month old baby and now he is a gorgeous little 15 month-old toddler with an angelic face and gentle nature.
We did a shoot on a gorgeous winter's day at a green belt in Constantia where he had space to roam around and explore.
I photographed Jasper, his parents and grandparents just after his first birthday at their home in Pinelands. It was a beautiful autumn afternoon in Cape Town and Jasper had great fun in the garden munching on watermelon, playing with his blanket 'Pinky' and generally being adored by all around him.
Busi was on holiday in Cape Town for a few days on her own with the kids and we met at Hout Bay to take some shots there. It was a boiling hot day in Cape Town and we spent much of our time tracking down some much-needed ice cream.
I photographed Julie and Matt's wedding four years ago in Swellendam and now they are parents to the most beautiful little boy, Sebastian, who was 18 months old at the time of this shoot. I love shooting kids this age as you can't plan too much and just have to go with the flow of wherever they are heading off to. Sebastian is an adventurous little guy who just wanted to head into the icy Cape sea.
I can't believe that a year has passed since I last met Christine, Michael, Nevin and Quinn. Whenever I do a shoot with this gorgeous family, there seems to be cloud - which I love for moody beach images.
These little guys are now 4 and 6 years old and so absolutely edible.
I spent a bit of time on Blouberg beach with Lou, her sister Lisa and their families. I find it quite overwhelming photographing 2 families together as there is always so much going on but it's also great to see interations between everyone and how people fit together.
The late afternoon light became so beautiful, my favourite time of day on the beach.
I spent a bit of time with Kathy and her family at Tokai forest in Cape Town. Sophie is 3 and Tom is 6 and they are the most gorgeous kids and were so sweet together.
I nearly took the last family shot out - Sophie is sucking on her thumb and Tom is pulling a funny face - but that is what three and six year olds do and I love capturing life the way that it is and with a little less 'cheese'.
