One of my favourite things about photographing people is to document the same family over time. I first photographed Jax and Stix when Sam was in the oven and now they have two beautiful little boys with another one on the way in a few month's time.
Tanya is an Art Director for a wedding magazine so wanted something a little bit different for family portraits.
We started off with a few shots at their home in Claremont and then headed to a spot of mountain where we found a burned-out spot of land and some very cool trees.
Phuong and her family came over from The States for a holiday in Cape Town. I met them one afternoon on Muixenberg beach and it was such a pleasure to cruise around with them - they were such a fun bunch to photograph and fit so beautifully together.
I photographed Kirstin and Tony's wedding in Noordhoek a few years back and again when Leo was 18 months old. I met up with them in London on a gorgeous summer's afternoon and we traipsed around some busy canals and streets of North London and found some quiet greenery amidst the chaos. They are such great parents to Leo, who is such a cute little guy.
I did a shoot with a very-pregnant Liezl and Frederick and their most adorable little girl, Clara, who is 16 months old. Winter shoots in Cape Town are my favourite and at this time, the light on the beach was particularly soft and beautiful.
