Desiree and her boys // Llundudno Beach

Desiree and her boys // Llundudno Beach

31 January 2018

Desiree and Werner are from Germany and hold a special place in their hearts for Cape Town and so visit quite often.

We met early one summer morning for a beach shoot at Llundudno with their three boys.

Megan, Gary, Charlotte and Emily // Tokai Forest

24 January 2018

I photographed Megan and Gary's wedding back in 2011 and now they have two gorgeous little girls, Emily and Charlotte who are both such little characters.

We met on a chilly day in Tokai Forest in Cape Town where the kids had space to run around.

Justine, Myles and Cameron //Constantia

11 January 2018

I've photographed this gorgeous family a few times over the years and it's been such a priviledge to document their journey and growth from year to year.

We again met one afternoon in winter at the greenbelt in Constantia. They love black and white images and so this post is all monochrome.

The Lisle Family // Home & Llundudno

The Lisle Family // Home & Llundudno

11 December 2017

I photographed the Lisle family and their dogs, starting out at their home in Hout Bay and then heading down to Llundudno beach for the soft evening light. Dogs are such a beautiful and important part of families.

It was a very bittersweet shoot as their oldest dog, Ticka, was 17 years old and had only a few days left to live.

Sue and Holly // In Studio

Sue and Holly // In Studio

24 October 2017

Sue came into my studio a little bit earlier this year for a portrait shoot. She started off with having her hair and make-up done and then brought in some of her favourite dresses and outfits to get some different looks. Her gorgeous little daughter, Holly, joined in at the end of the session to get some beautiful mother and daughter images of the two of them.

Andrea, Warwick, Annabelle (and bump) // Muizenberg Beach

19 September 2017

I met Andrea, Warwick and their gorgeous little girl, Annabelle, for a shoot at Muizenberg beach on a chilly late winter's afternoon. She is a beautifully busy and curious little toddler who wouldn't stand still for long which always makes for a bit of unpredictability and fun.

Sylwia & Family // Camps Bay Beach

Sylwia & Family // Camps Bay Beach

03 July 2017

Sylwia is a mixed media artist who does beautiful and inspiring illustrations and watercolours, some of which you can see here.  She also takes lovely photos of her family but she wanted images where she was included - it seems to be the story of most mother's lives where they are behind the camera and not really included in the photos themselves.

She was on holiday in Cape Town all the way from Ireland wth her gorgeous little girl and husband - we met fairly early one morning on Camps Bay beach to do a shoot.

Taryn, Grant, Ethan and bump // Llundudno Beach

13 April 2017

I have photographed Taryn and Grant a few times over the years - back when they were a couple, their wedding day and with their gorgeous little boy, Ethan, when he was a bit younger.

They were down in Cape Town from Joburg for a few days and we met early in the morning at Llundudno beach when the light was soft and lovely.

Nicky & Lily // In Studio

Nicky & Lily // In Studio

03 November 2016

I photographed Nicky and Lily at my studio - they are both very 'girly' girls and so it was fun to do something pretty and feminine with them. I absolutely love photographing mothers and daughters. Nicky (as all women) kept on going on about how she wasn't feeling very photogenic and would prefer to do the shoot another time but she is so beautiful as she is... there is no time like the present.

Nicky's husband's Marc popped in for a few shots after he finished work so it was great to get a family portrait too.
